Express Win 94-85 to Snap Losing Streak
(WINDSOR, ON) - The Windsor Express were back in action Wednesday night at the WFCU Centre as they hosted the Orangeville A's in a Central Division match-up.

Windsor, who was in the midst of a tough 4-game losing streak, was desperately looking for a win before they head on an East coast road trip this weekend. Wally Ellenson got the home crowd into the game early with some big time shooting. The Express rode a nice offensive quarter into a 27-11 first quarter lead.

The 2nd quarter saw things flip for the Express with Orangeville tightening up their defence. Windsor couldn't keep their hot shooting going from the previous quarter and allowed the A's to bring the score back to a 38-37 Express lead at the half.

The 3rd quarter was another slow start for Windsor, not getting any friendly calls from the officials either. But the defence held up and the Express never let Orangeville carry more than a 2-point lead.

This game didn't fail to come close again as Orangeville fought to the very end. A solid 2nd half performance from DeAndre Thomas helped keep the Express in front and hold on to the 94-85 win.

DeAndre Thomas was Windsor's high scorer with 19 points. He also added 11 rebounds for the double-double.

Wally Ellenson and Maurice Jones both contributed 18 points a piece. While Quinnel Brown finished with a double-double, 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Orangeville's high scorer was Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson with 18 points.
