2017-18 Windsor Express Training Camp

Released: November 02, 2017

(WINDSOR, ON) – Bill Jones, Vice President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach of the Windsor Express, today announced the opening of the 2017 training camp, ahead of the National Basketball League of Canada regular season. After a very successful NBLC Combine and Draft which was hosted in Windsor, the team is now preparing to compete in the 2017-18 season with the attendance of professional players at training camp. Held daily at the John Atkinson Community Centre, between 2pm and 4pm, Jones and his coaching staff will be looking to pare the squad down from 20 to an opening day roster of 12. “We have a lot of good talent in camp this season,” Jones said. “The competition for limited places on the roster will be stiff and it’ll be a difficult decision where we’ll be making cuts.” Training camp began November 1 and will continue in preparation for the first game on November 18 at the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans. Windsor will open their home schedule on November 25 when they welcome the Halifax Hurricanes to the WFCU Centre, with tip-7pm. #BackOnTrack
