(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Express announced today the team has signed Washington DC native Brian Bridgeforth for the up-coming 2017-18 season. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
The 6’ 10” forward joins the Express from Washington Adventist University where he was named Men's College Basketball Player of the Year by Finest Magazine in his senior season.
“I'm really excited as a first-year player and especially to be with the Windsor Express,” Bridgeforth said from Washington DC. “I’ve heard a lot of great things about the team and about the coaches and the owner, too.”
Bridgeforth started all 28 games in 2016-17, and led the Washington Shock in scoring by averaging 19 points per game and 11 rpg. Defensively, Bridgeforth led the DII NAIA with almost 3 blocks per game in 2016-17.
The Windsor Express training camp begins in November. It will mark the first time that Bridgeforth has been to Canada.
